NoPixel 5 (NoPixel V): Release Date, Streamers & Everything We Know
NoPixel V launches in closed beta on September 8, 2026, beginning the next major era of GTA roleplay. Rockstar Games has now officially announced and promoted the project alongside NoPixel.
Also known as NoPixel 5 or NoPixel 5.0, NoPixel V is a major overhaul of the GTA V roleplay experience created in collaboration with Rockstar Games. Invited players will access the closed beta through the Rockstar Games Launcher, while everyone else will be able to watch the new server live from September 8.

When does NoPixel 5 come out?
NoPixel V’s closed beta begins September 8, 2026.
Rockstar Games officially announced the date on September 1, confirming that invited players will access NoPixel V through the Rockstar Games Launcher.
This is a closed beta rather than an unrestricted public release. NoPixel V access is initially limited to invited players, although Rockstar has already confirmed that expanded access is planned for the future.
How to play NoPixel V
You cannot simply download NoPixel V and join the server on September 8.
NoPixel V is initially invite-only. Selected players will be able to access the closed beta through the Rockstar Games Launcher.
NoPixel is revealing invited players ahead of launch and maintains an official roster of people who have been invited to the new server.
If you have not been invited, the September 8 launch is primarily something you’ll be able to experience by watching NoPixel V streamers. Rockstar has said expanded access will follow in the future, but there is currently no general public release date.
NoPixel V is officially supported by Rockstar Games
This is arguably the biggest story surrounding NoPixel V.
NoPixel describes V as the next evolution of GTA RP created in collaboration with Rockstar Games, while Rockstar itself is now directly promoting the project through the Rockstar Games Newswire.
Rockstar says NoPixel has pushed the boundaries of GTA roleplay through character immersion, modifications to the GTA V map and its community of storytellers.
It’s a significant evolution from NoPixel’s origins as an independent community GTA RP server.
Rockstar acquired Cfx.re, the team behind FiveM and RedM, in 2023. NoPixel V is another indication of how much closer GTA roleplay has moved to Rockstar itself since then.
We’re tracking what this relationship could eventually mean for FiveM and GTA 6, but Rockstar has not announced GTA VI roleplay or a GTA VI version of NoPixel.
What’s new in NoPixel 5?
The September 1 reveal gave us our clearest look yet at how extensively NoPixel has rebuilt its GTA RP experience.
Confirmed NoPixel V changes include:
- A reworked character customisation system
- A major overhaul of parts of the GTA V map
- The new Pixel Hotel & Casino
- A six-block redevelopment of Cypress Flats
- New and more detailed interiors
- New ways to travel by land, sea and air
- New ways to make a living on both sides of the law
- Smarter and more reactive pedestrians
- Refreshed visuals and graphical enhancements
- More depth and activity throughout Los Santos
NoPixel describes the project as being built for the next generation of GTA roleplay, rather than simply another reset of the existing NoPixel server.
The GTA V map has been heavily reworked
NoPixel V doesn’t abandon Los Santos, but substantial parts of the familiar GTA V map have been rebuilt and expanded.
One of the biggest confirmed changes is a six-block revamp of Cypress Flats. NoPixel is also introducing new locations and richer interiors designed to give players more places in which to create stories.
The new Pixel Hotel & Casino is one of the most prominent additions revealed so far and is likely to become a major social and roleplay location when the server launches.
NoPixel has also teased new methods of travelling around the world by land, sea and air.
NoPixel V has a new character creator
Character creation is another major focus of the overhaul.
Rockstar says NoPixel V features a reworked character customisation system intended to give roleplayers more ways to create characters that match their backstories.
That’s particularly important for a roleplay server where players can spend hundreds or even thousands of hours developing the same character.
Jobs, crime and the NoPixel V economy
NoPixel V will introduce new ways for characters to make a living on either side of the law.
Rockstar hasn’t yet detailed every job, criminal activity or business available at launch, but the emphasis on both legal and illegal careers suggests the economy will remain central to how characters progress through the city.
How NoPixel balances those systems will be worth watching. Some players criticised NoPixel 4.0 for becoming too focused on grinding, money and game mechanics rather than character-driven roleplay.
Returning player Nmplol recently described 4.0 as feeling like a “glorified MMO” and said he hoped the next version would move back toward the style of roleplay found in earlier NoPixel eras.
That is a player’s opinion rather than a confirmed NoPixel V design promise, but the new server gives NoPixel an opportunity to rebalance progression around roleplay.
Which streamers are playing NoPixel V?
NoPixel has begun revealing its invited players ahead of the September 8 launch, with hundreds of players already appearing on its official roster.
Rockstar says the new era will include familiar faces reprising fan-favourite characters alongside new personalities beginning their own stories.
That makes the opening days particularly interesting. Previous NoPixel launches have brought together major Twitch creators, established GTA RP streamers and smaller roleplayers who can rapidly become much more visible when their characters interact with larger creators.
Rather than maintaining a static list that quickly becomes outdated, GTA Genius will surface NoPixel streams as creators actually go live.

NoPixel V Twitch Drops
Rockstar is also directly encouraging GTA players to watch NoPixel V on Twitch.
From September 8 through September 30, watching eligible GTA roleplay streamers playing NoPixel V on Twitch can earn GTA Online rewards through Twitch Drops.
The rewards include the Burger Shot Tracksuit and up to GTA$1,500,000 in GTA Online.
This is particularly notable because Rockstar isn’t simply acknowledging NoPixel V — it is actively using GTA Online rewards to encourage its own player base to watch the new roleplay server.
Is xQc playing NoPixel V?
xQc is one of the creators most closely associated with previous NoPixel booms, so his involvement is naturally one of the biggest questions surrounding the new server.
NoPixel is continuing to reveal creators and invited players ahead of launch. We will only list individual creators as confirmed NoPixel V players when their participation is publicly established rather than relying on speculation.
Will NoPixel V be public?
Not at launch.
The September 8 release is a closed beta available to invited players. However, Rockstar has explicitly said to expect news about expanded access to NoPixel V in future updates.
That means the initial invite-only launch isn’t necessarily the final access model. No public release date or exact system for expanded access has been announced yet.
Is NoPixel V GTA 6?
No. NoPixel V is a GTA V roleplay experience, not GTA VI.
There is currently no announced NoPixel GTA 6 server and no confirmed playable GTA 6 RP server.
The distinction is particularly important now because Rockstar is directly collaborating with NoPixel and GTA VI is approaching. That relationship naturally raises questions about the future, but it does not confirm that NoPixel V will move to GTA VI.

Why NoPixel V matters for GTA roleplay
NoPixel V is more significant than a typical GTA RP server reset.
NoPixel is rebuilding major parts of its GTA V experience while working directly with Rockstar Games, and invited players are accessing the server through Rockstar’s own launcher.
Rockstar is simultaneously promoting the server, encouraging people to watch its streamers and offering GTA Online Twitch Drops tied to NoPixel V.
That makes September 8 an important moment not only for NoPixel, but for GTA roleplay more broadly. Community-created GTA RP has moved from an unofficial modification scene to something Rockstar is actively supporting and promoting.
