GTA 6 RP on PC: FiveM, Release Date & What We Know
PC is the home of GTA roleplay, but GTA VI isn’t coming to PC at launch. Here’s what that means for FiveM, RP servers and the future of GTA 6 roleplay.
Will GTA 6 RP be on PC?
GTA 6 RP on PC has not been announced. In fact, Rockstar Games has not yet announced a PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI at all.
GTA VI launches on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC is not currently included in Rockstar’s announced launch platforms.
That’s particularly important for roleplay because the GTA RP ecosystem we know today is overwhelmingly built around PC. FiveM — the platform behind many major GTA V RP communities — is a PC platform.
Current status: GTA VI PC — not announced. GTA VI FiveM support — not announced. GTA 6 RP servers — not announced.
When is GTA 6 coming to PC?
There is currently no official GTA VI PC release date.
Rockstar’s official GTA VI information lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for November 19, 2026. Rockstar has not confirmed when — or formally announced that — GTA VI will be released for PC.
That means any specific GTA 6 PC release date you see elsewhere is currently speculation.
For GTA RP players, the missing PC release is arguably more significant than it is for ordinary GTA players because today’s major modded roleplay ecosystem depends on PC.
Why PC matters for GTA 6 RP
Modern GTA roleplay grew far beyond the standard GTA Online experience because PC communities could build their own servers, scripts, jobs, economies, vehicles and roleplay systems.
FiveM has been central to that growth. It allows communities to operate customised GTA V multiplayer servers, creating the foundation used by many of the GTA RP servers and streamers you see on Twitch.
The current FiveM client is developed specifically for the PC version of GTA V. It does not run on PlayStation or Xbox.
That makes a future GTA VI PC version one of the biggest pieces of the puzzle for anyone hoping to see GTA 6 develop the same kind of community-driven RP scene.
Will FiveM work with GTA 6 on PC?
There is currently no confirmation that FiveM will support GTA VI.
FiveM currently supports GTA V on PC. A GTA VI version, migration path or replacement platform has not been announced.
There is, however, an important reason the future of FiveM is worth watching: Rockstar Games acquired Cfx.re, the team behind FiveM and RedM, in 2023.
Rockstar said the partnership would help Cfx.re find new ways to support its roleplay community and improve the services it provides to developers and players.
That is significant, but it is not confirmation of FiveM for GTA VI.
Could GTA 6 RP launch before the PC version?
It’s possible that Rockstar could introduce its own roleplay features or another form of community experience on console, but nothing like that has been announced.
Traditional FiveM-style GTA RP is a different matter. FiveM is currently PC-only, so the existing model cannot simply move to the console version of GTA VI at launch.
Unless Rockstar introduces a new system, players hoping for the kind of custom RP found on NoPixel and other FiveM servers may therefore have to wait beyond GTA VI’s console launch.
We’ve covered the console side separately in our GTA 6 RP on PS5 and Xbox guide.
When could GTA 6 RP servers launch on PC?
There is no confirmed GTA 6 RP server release date.
Several things would need to happen before the traditional GTA RP ecosystem could move to GTA VI:
- GTA VI needs to become available on PC.
- A platform needs to support community or custom GTA VI servers.
- Server developers need access to the tools required to build their RP systems.
- Existing communities need time to develop and test their GTA VI servers.
- Players and streamers then need to migrate to those communities.
We don’t yet know how many of those steps will be necessary because Rockstar and Cfx.re have not announced their plans for GTA VI roleplay.
See our GTA 6 RP release date page for the current timeline.
Will NoPixel move to GTA 6 on PC?
NoPixel has not announced a GTA VI server.
The community is especially interesting because NoPixel is already working directly with Rockstar Games on NoPixel V. However, NoPixel V is a GTA V roleplay project, not GTA VI.
If NoPixel eventually builds a GTA VI server, a PC release and whatever technology replaces or evolves from today’s FiveM ecosystem could be central to making it possible.
Follow our dedicated NoPixel GTA 6 page for that story.
Can you play GTA RP on PC now?
Yes. You don’t need to wait for GTA VI to play GTA RP on PC.
GTA V has a huge existing PC roleplay ecosystem through FiveM, with communities ranging from public servers that are relatively easy to join to allow-listed servers with applications and stricter roleplay requirements.
You can browse some of those communities in our GTA RP server list.
Watch GTA RP on PC now
While GTA VI RP remains a future possibility, thousands of hours of GTA V roleplay are streamed from PC communities on Twitch.
The streams above are GTA V roleplay streams. They are not GTA VI RP. You can also follow our GTA 6 RP streamers watchlist for established creators who could become part of the GTA VI roleplay scene.
GTA 6 RP on PC: current status
| GTA VI console release | November 19, 2026 |
| GTA VI PC release | Not announced |
| GTA VI FiveM support | Not announced |
| GTA VI RP servers | Not announced |
| Current FiveM platform | GTA V on PC |
| Cfx.re owner | Rockstar Games |
The most important thing right now is separating what is confirmed from what seems likely. Rockstar is directly involved with the technology and communities behind modern GTA RP, but it has not announced how — or whether — that ecosystem will extend to GTA VI.
