GTA 6 RP Release Date

GTA 6 RP Release Date: When Will GTA VI Roleplay Launch?

GTA VI launches on November 19, 2026, but when will GTA 6 roleplay servers actually arrive? Here’s what Rockstar has confirmed and what remains unknown.

When is the GTA 6 RP release date?

There is currently no GTA 6 RP release date. Rockstar Games has not announced GTA VI roleplay servers or confirmed when a GTA VI roleplay platform will become available.

Grand Theft Auto VI itself launches on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar currently describes GTA VI as a single-player experience.

That means players should not assume that GTA 6 RP servers will be available when GTA VI launches.

Will GTA 6 RP launch with GTA VI?

There is currently no indication that GTA 6 RP will launch alongside GTA VI on November 19.

Rockstar has specifically described Grand Theft Auto VI as a single-player experience. No GTA VI multiplayer or roleplay service has been announced for launch.

Roleplay also requires considerably more than the base game. Today’s GTA V RP ecosystem relies heavily on community servers, FiveM and custom systems developed by individual RP communities.

Until Rockstar explains how community multiplayer will work with GTA VI, there is no confirmed platform for GTA 6 RP servers.

Could GTA 6 RP arrive after GTA 6 Online?

Possibly, but Rockstar has not yet announced GTA 6 Online or its release date.

The original GTA V gives us some historical context. Grand Theft Auto V launched on September 17, 2013, while GTA Online followed on October 1, 2013.

Modern GTA RP took considerably longer to develop. FiveM and communities such as NoPixel eventually built a completely different kind of multiplayer experience around GTA V.

GTA VI does not necessarily have to follow the same pattern. Rockstar now owns the team behind FiveM, so the circumstances surrounding GTA 6 are very different.

When will FiveM come to GTA 6?

There is no GTA 6 FiveM release date.

FiveM currently supports GTA V on PC. Cfx.re has not announced GTA VI support or confirmed that the existing FiveM platform will be adapted for GTA VI.

The important connection is that Rockstar Games acquired Cfx.re in 2023. Cfx.re is the team behind FiveM and RedM, and Rockstar now officially supports Cfx.re-powered roleplay and community servers.

This puts the people behind the current GTA RP platform inside Rockstar before GTA VI launches, but it still doesn’t give us a release date for GTA 6 roleplay.

Read our GTA 6 FiveM guide for the latest information.

Could GTA 6 RP have to wait for the PC version?

This is one of the biggest unanswered questions.

GTA VI currently has no announced PC release date. Rockstar is launching the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The current FiveM ecosystem, meanwhile, is PC-based. Cfx.re states that FiveM is developed exclusively for the PC versions of GTA V and has no plans to bring the current FiveM client to consoles.

If GTA VI roleplay continues to depend on a PC community-server platform, a GTA VI PC release could therefore be an important part of the timeline.

However, Rockstar could also create an entirely different system for GTA VI. We simply don’t know yet.

See our GTA 6 RP on PC guide for the PC release situation, FiveM implications and why PC may be central to traditional GTA 6 roleplay.

When will GTA 6 RP servers be available?

No genuine GTA VI roleplay servers are currently available.

Communities can already announce plans, register domains or create Discord servers around GTA VI RP, but nobody can currently operate an actual GTA VI roleplay server because the game itself has not launched and Rockstar has not announced a community-server platform.

Once real servers become playable, GTA Genius will maintain a GTA 6 RP server list covering the major communities, joining requirements and live streamers.

Will GTA 6 RP be available on PS5 and Xbox?

GTA VI launches first on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but that does not mean traditional GTA RP will automatically be available on consoles.

The current FiveM ecosystem is PC-only, and Cfx.re says the existing FiveM client has no console support. Rockstar could eventually build a different community-server or roleplay system for GTA VI, but nothing has been announced.

See our GTA 6 RP on PS5 and Xbox guide for the full console situation.

When will NoPixel come to GTA 6?

NoPixel has not announced a GTA VI server or a GTA 6 release date.

The community is nevertheless closely connected to Rockstar. NoPixel V is being created in collaboration with Rockstar Games, while Rockstar also owns Cfx.re, the team behind the FiveM platform used by GTA RP communities.

NoPixel V itself is a GTA V roleplay project, not GTA VI RP.

Read our NoPixel GTA 6 guide for the current status.

When will GTA 6 RP streams start?

There cannot be genuine GTA VI RP streams until there is an actual GTA VI roleplay ecosystem to stream.

Once real GTA VI RP servers become available, GTA Genius will use live Twitch data to surface creators who are actually playing them. Until then, our GTA 6 RP streamers page tracks established GTA RP creators who could be relevant to the next generation.

How long could GTA 6 RP take?

At this stage, putting a date or even a number of months on GTA 6 RP would be guesswork.

Large roleplay servers aren’t simple multiplayer lobbies. Communities such as NoPixel contain custom jobs, vehicles, economies, businesses, police and medical systems, character tools and enormous amounts of server-specific code.

If GTA VI eventually supports community servers, RP developers may still need time to understand the new platform and build the systems required for sophisticated roleplay.

On the other hand, Rockstar’s ownership of Cfx.re means the GTA VI generation begins with much more roleplay expertise inside Rockstar than existed when GTA V launched.

What needs to happen before GTA 6 RP launches?

There are several major questions Rockstar still needs to answer before we can realistically predict a GTA 6 RP release date:

  • Rockstar needs to reveal its plans for GTA VI multiplayer.
  • We need to know whether GTA VI will support community-created servers.
  • Cfx.re needs to reveal whether FiveM or another platform will support GTA VI.
  • Rockstar needs to reveal its GTA VI PC plans if RP remains PC-focused.
  • RP communities need access to the tools required to build their servers.
  • Major communities such as NoPixel need time to develop their GTA VI experiences if they choose to move to the new game.

So when should we expect GTA 6 RP?

The only responsible answer right now is: we don’t know.

GTA VI arrives on November 19, 2026, but Rockstar has not announced GTA VI RP, GTA VI Online, community servers or FiveM support.

What makes GTA 6 different from the launch of GTA V is that Rockstar now owns Cfx.re and has publicly embraced community-created roleplay experiences. That gives us good reason to watch the space closely, but not enough evidence to invent a release window.
